South Lampung, November 26, 2024 – The Electrical Engineering Program at ITERA has once again achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the Silver Award at the ITERA Public Relations and Collaboration Awards 2024. This prestigious accolade was awarded in recognition of five strategic initiatives that have strengthened national and international collaboration networks while affirming the program’s significant contribution to the advancement of education and technology.
1. Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM)
- Student Mobility Program: Six Electrical Engineering students from ITERA attended lectures at UTeM, while seven UTeM students studied at ITERA for one semester.
- Expert Contribution: Dr. Muhammad Reza Kahar Aziz, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., participated as a speaker in the International Joint Webinar.
- Future Collaboration: The partnership was solidified through the signing of an MoU and Implementing Agreement (IA) to support joint grants.
2. Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM)
- International Research: Two collaborative research projects (contract no. W022 until 2024 and W024 until 2027) involve ITERA as a partner with funding amounting to MYR 42,000 (approximately IDR 151,002,600).
- Outbound Student Mobility: Two Electrical Engineering students from ITERA conducted research at the UTHM Center of Excellence for a month, participated in poster competitions, and showcased nano-technology products.
- Community Engagement: The Academia-Industry-Community Engagement Program (AICEP) 2024 successfully involved ITERA lecturers and students, supported by a grant from MOSTI Malaysia worth MYR 25,000 (approximately IDR 91,459,000).
- Postgraduate Opportunities: ITERA alumni of the Electrical Engineering program are now pursuing master’s degrees at UTHM, with similar opportunities available for future graduates.
- UTHM Initiatives Lead: Activities with UTHM were coordinated by Dr. Suratun Nafisah, S.Si., M.Sc.
3. PT Nagara
- MoU Signing: The agreement was signed by Electrical Engineering Head of Program, Mr. Gde K.M. Atma Jaya, S.T., M.T., and Dr. Duwi Hariyanto, S.Si., M.Si.
- Guest Lecture: PT Nagara’s Director, Dr. Eng. Indarta Aji, M.Si., participated as a guest speaker in academic activities.
- Future Plans: The opening of an Electric Motor Laboratory is scheduled for 2025.
4. National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN)
- Scientific Contribution: A research paper was published in the Progress in Electromagnetics Research (PIER) journal (Q3), alongside the registration of a patent.
- Collaboration: The project was led by principal investigator Ing. Anita Pascawati, S.T., in collaboration with BRIN researchers, including Dr. Ir. Yuyu Wahyu, M.T., and ITERA’s Electrical Engineering lecturer, Dr. Reza.
5. PT Eldikon
- MoU Preparation: Preliminary discussions are underway to establish collaboration in future technologies.
In addition to these strategic initiatives, the Electrical Engineering Program has partnered with PT SUN Energy, recently hosting a seminar titled SUNRISE (Renewable Insight & Solar Expertise) at ITERA, led by Mr. Harry Yuliansya, S.T., M.Eng., Head of the Material and Energy Research Center.
The collaboration achievements were spearheaded by Mrs. Nia Saputri Utami, S.T., M.T., who previously served as the Coordinator for Collaboration before the role merged with Public Relations. During the evaluation, Dr. Reza proposed separating the Public Relations and Collaboration roles, mirroring the central structure where the Collaboration Coordinator is led by Dr. Eng. Rishal Asri, S.T., M.Eng.
The Silver Award was presented by ITERA Collaboration Coordinator, Dr. Rishal, to Muchamad Eris Rizqul Ulum, S.T., M.T., an Electrical Engineering lecturer in Public Relations and Collaboration, who represented the program at the event. The Electrical Engineering team, including Dr. Suratun, Mrs. Nia, and students like Josevein Hutagalung (Finalist for Public Relations Person of the Year), Aryalutfi (HME Konfimo), and Kenneth (HME Chairman), attended to celebrate this achievement.
